Firebaugh Annual Cantaloupe Roundup – Thursday July 27th-July 30th 5pm-12am

The City of Firebaugh will be hosting its annual Cantaloupe Round Up Festival. With the summer harvest in session, this festival offers guests an astounding amount of activities including carnival food, games, rides, country and classic rock music, and plenty more before school is back in session. Valley Health Team will be participating by offering educational information on diabetes and nutrition as well as offering information on services provided by VHT.

San Joaquin Salvation Army Free Carnival - Thursday August 3rd, 2017 4:30pm-7pm

Valley Health Team will be providing free health screenings and health education information at the San Joaquin Salvation Army Carnival. The event will be held at Ruscconi Park on the corner of 9th Street and Railroad St. There will be informational booths, games, prizes, face painting, and a BBQ free to all that attend.

15th Annual Back to School Health Fair - Saturday August 12th, 2017 9am-12pm

Maxie Parks Community Center 1802 E. California Ave, Fresno, CA 93706

West Fresno Family Resource Center is hosting the 15th Annual back to School Health Fair that provides free health screenings, free haircuts, free school supplies, Medi-Cal enrollment and educational materials to underserved K-12 students, and an opportunity to increase knowledge of community resources. Valley Health Team will be participating by offering educational information on diabetes and nutrition as well as offering information on services.

National Health Center Week - Monday August 14th – Friday August 18th, 2017

“Celebrating America’s Health Centers: The Key to Healthier Communities”

National Health Center Week gives Health Centers a chance to bring light to the health needs in our communities and the shared stake in community health. It allows us to show not only what we do but how our unique model of care is offering solutions to the nation’s health care crisis. Throughout the week Valley Health Team will be offering a health education class at each location with topics such as Nutrition, Asthma and Diabetes.

Kerman Harvest Festival & Parade; Thursday, Sept. 14th – Sun Sept. 17th, 2017

Kerman Chamber of Commerce will host the 74th annual Harvest Festival beginning on Thursday September 17th at 5:00 pm. There will be food, miscellaneous vendors, Paul Maurer Shows Carnival, entertainment and music nightly. Valley Health Team will be participating by offering educational information on diabetes and nutrition as well as offering information on services provided by VHT.
